Why are Electric Cars good for the planet?
The main reason is the cleanliness of electricity. With the EVE electric vehicle and others like it, there are no CO2 emissions when driven. Plus the power comes from a wide range of sources. Fossil fuel is seen as a finite supply, while electricity is generated by wind, hydro, solar, clean burning coal and nuclear. Experts believe our advances in technology will enhance our ability to generate more efficient and clean sources of electricity.

Do Lead Acid Batteries used in the EVE get recycled?

What about recycling the rest of the EVE parts?
The EVE weighs about 30% of a 2004 Toyota Camry (see web link below). This lighter weight design requires fewer raw materials to produce and therefore has less impact on the environment. The steel, plastic, copper and rubber are recyclable and make up a majority of the vehicle.

Are there other advantages to the planet by me owning an EVE electric vehicle?
Many people tell us they are fun to drive. But in addition, you’ll have more room in the garage and find it a little easier to fit in a small parking space. By driving your EVE vehicle you let others know you are environmentally conscious and doing something about it. Maybe they will too…

What about other transportation solutions?
This may sound crazy, but walk or take your bike. You get exercise and save money. When distance is an issue, use mass transit. These shared ride solutions; like our trains and buses, are the most cost effective of all. Drive when you must, but plan in advance; make circle trips and hit your stops in the most efficient manner.
